Intimate in home couples session with Stephanie & Chef Jason | San Angelo, TX

This past Sunday I did something a little different. Part of it stems from semi creative rut. I’m not saying that I can’t create, I have just learned to recognize when I start to fall into a rinse and repeat cycle with my work. I am always striving to grow, learn new things and step outside of my comfort zone. I just simply realized that I was staying in my safety bubble recently up until Stephanie and Chef Jason popped it.

I always want my couples sessions to revolve around something unique to each couple, while at the same time giving them a much needed break form the world to just lean back into each other.

With Jason being a chef and Stephanie being up for anything, I suggested they cook a meal together and I’ll just hang out and capture the authenticity that unfolds. Dramatic landscapes, amazing skies and perfect lighting doesn’t make an image grand. But, two people madly in love leaning into one another, real moments and human connection does.

I had such a great time just watching these two do their thing and connect. They made me feel so welcome in their home and I am thankful I was able to share great conversation, some expensive wine, whiskey and food with these two awesome humans. Can’t wait for the wedding day, its going to be great.

Here’s a few of my favorite images from that evening.
